The Power of Imagination 2

Billions of people across the globe have a legion of feelings, doubts, emotions swirling within their psyche and minds after the world stage shocks once again. The aftershocks create an inevitable choice for each individual.

The choice is to further expand the fear, panic and chaos by focusing, speaking, thinking, obsessing upon the lack and limitation or transform this convoluted energy to become inspired with the vision of harmony and peace within the great powers of the imagination.

Though the world may be raging in chaos and appear to be reeling off its axis, when life looks difficult, no matter what the world is throwing at us the task is to stay in our loving centers. Though it is challenging, we must not allow the senses to control our minds and imagination. This is the great work at hand.

Within the word attraction is action. If we do not take action nothing will be done. It may be the path of least resistance within an abundance of inner resistance. However, taking action can be challenging and difficult.

There can be much inner resistance. The best way to handle this resistance is by being in the moment and accepting what is before you. The resistance originates from imagining negative further consequences or reflecting on similar past events.

As always, feel the feelings, breathe through them, find them pulsating through your body acknowledging the pain, suffering, discomfort and how difficult it is to feel this way. This is the act of no resistance, it is the quickest way out, you must go through the fire.

The imagination, supported by inspiration and faith, is the most powerful TOOL for change and transformation. We have the ability to image-in exactly what we would like our worlds to be.

When enough people take this action critical mass occurs, 51% is achieved and the universe swings into universal law in manifesting the prevailing energy.

The Definition of Imagination:

1) the faculty of imagining, or of forming mental images or concepts of what is not actually present to the  senses. the faculty or action of producing ideas, esp mental images of what is not present or has not been experienced.

2.) the action or process of forming such images or concepts. Mental creative ability.

3) ability to face and resolve difficulties; resourcefulness: a job that requires imagination.

4) the power of reproducing images stored in the memory under the suggestion of associated images (reproductive imagination) or of recombining former experiences in the creation of new images directed at a specific goal or aiding in the solution of problems (creative imagination)

5) the ability to deal resourcefully with unexpected or unusual problems, circumstances, etc

Mahatma Gandhi employed his powers of imagination in his pursuit to lead India to Independence from British rule in 1947. Gandhi did not allow the physical scene and his senses to overtake his vision of freedom, independence and self-rule.

His precepts and inspiration holds true now as it did in 1947:

“You must be the change you want to see in the world.”

“As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world – that is the myth of the atomic age – as in being able to remake ourselves.”

“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.”

“The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world’s problem.”

“If I had no sense of humor, I would long ago have committed suicide.”

“Nobody can hurt me without my permission.”

As in all good things, practice is necessary. It is important to surround ourselves in beauty, harmony, relaxation, processes that center us. Practices are fundamental to human behavior and development.

We are always practicing. It is easy to understand what we practice becomes our habits. The things we focus on and do over and over builds skill, we become better the more we practice something.

Our habits become us, they are actually stored within our cellular structure and become part and parcel of our body. Our body, mind, thoughts, behaviors, responses, reactions, perspectives, opinions are generated and formed by the things we do the most everyday.

Just as we are what we eat and think, we are our habits. Habits become our character as they embed their imprint into the deepest parts of who we are. They can actually set up a dam where we cannot see beyond the longer we build upon each limited habit.

Whereas we practice moment by moment, it is important to observe if our practice is founded upon that which makes us more vital and alive or keeps the spiral downward with rigidity and narrowness. We find ourselves saying, “here it is again, the same old same old appearing in my life.”

Choosing resilience, we can achieve progress, creating the capacity to distinguish between practices that create a better life or keep us at status quo or less.   We can commit to building our flexibility, openness and our capacity to recognize and choose that which we want to see manifested in our lives.
