Love Yourself

10672276_718536498234346_3036436711208027274_nDo you feel the great love inside of you? How often do you take the time to enter your inner life where this great love resides?

Rumi states, ‘Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.’

“You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection.”   Siddhartha Guatama Buddha

One of the first concepts to understand in loving yourself is not to push away uncomfortable feelings when you are hurt, feeling low, not feeling the light and love, do not dismiss them. Bring the feelings needing attention within and hold them in light knowing they are a part of you acting out as a little child.

When a child acts out looking for attention and confirmation, what is best for him/her… dismissal, being ignored, chastised, shame, blame, guilt; or acceptance, holding, and confirmation? (more…)
